[Thistle's in a bad mood, not that it'd be easy to tell one of her bad moods from her good moods. She's lounging in an armchair in the study and sharpening a throwing knife. When she's satisfied, she flings it at the entrance.
Should you happen to walk in at this moment, this will probably sail uncomfortably close to your head and land with a loud thwack as it's embedded in the door frame.]

I know that some of us have had plenty of experience with moral bankruptcy.

[yeah that's kind of my specialty]

Flawless logic.

Better than thinking that deals can be brokered with them.
no subject
Who's making deals with the devil?
[her cut finger's probably dripping in your hair now oops]
no subject
She feels a trickle of something on her head and cranes her neck to scowl up at her.]
Some foolish woman who thinks providing a new host in the form of a child will do anything to save whatever wretch it currently possesses.

There's a moment of vulnerability as her eyes widen. She tucks her finger slowly under her palm as she tries to process this.
(carrying a host to save Saiou.)]
no subject
Does this mean you know how to stop it?
no subject
If it is desperate enough to need to produce a new host from scratch, it must not be able to inhabit its current one much longer.
Destroy both host and host to be and at best it will be killed, at worst it will at least retreat.

[The look on her face suggests she might consider it worth the sacrifice.]
no subject
I take it you are familiar with them, then.
Perhaps. She said the creature was not bound to any kind of item, so perhaps its influence could not be removed otherwise.
no subject
But I don't know if she destroyed it.
no subject
It did not seem to resemble any manner of the occult I know personally, but... I suspect it operates much the same regardless. It is a parasite and it requires a host to be any threat.
oops i left the tag open in a window again
[Beat panel.]

[She raises her eyebrow.]
I hear more and more that there have been Shadow Games conducted that I was not aware of.
Regardless, it itself does not seem to be here. Merely the girl and its promised host. That part seems simple enough to solve.
no subject
[...wait Thistle what are you suggesting.]
We don't have the facilities to solve that sort of problem.
no subject
I've all the facilities I need right here.
[KNIFE GLIMMER]
no subject
...
No.
no subject
I could make it relatively painless.
Trust me, whatever I do would be a far kinder fate than what she has in store for it.
no subject
[i can't believe i'm defending someone god
ed this is what you do to me]
Especially that one.

[sheee wasn't talking about cutting out the babby lol :'>]
no subject
[She's going to be coming around the chair now so she can grab Thistle by the shirtfront.]
If you hurt her I will snap your neck.
Clear?
no subject
Are you that eager for my blades, woman?
[Kaiserin might feel the sharp point of one of the throwing knives at her throat :'> im a jerk lol]
no subject
The tightening of her grip on Thistle's shirt and the quickening of her breath could easily be mistaken for the symptoms of fear.]
You. won't hurt her.
no subject
The knife is sharp enough to leave a shallow cut with a very light touch, and she draws a thin, slow line over Kaiserin's throat. It's not even deep enough to bleed much, but she thinks it'll be. Scary. sure. scary, thistle.]
And what concern is it of yours?
