[When you wake up this morning, the mansion looks considerably... spookier.

The walls seem creakier. The wallapaper's peeling. Spiderwebs and an inch of dust coat everything. It looks like nobody's been here in ages, and the shadows are very dark and deep.

There's a chill in the air and a sense that something's watching you.

I don't know what else could bind a simple mortal soul to unlife. A violent unjust death usually does the trick.

[She follows him at a distance, still keeping an eye out for either other spirits or murderous living.

If there are any CONSPICUOUS BLOODY STREAKS around, she'll stop and kneel by them to gauge how fresh they are.]

[It takes him a few minutes of wandering roughly where he remembers getting offed, but...there are some streaks on the ground eventually that look an hour old at most.]

...well. That answers one question.

[She starts following the blood trails.]

Whoever did this must've been strong enough to lug your carcass around. Big. Probably slow.

[She slides some of her knives out of her sleeves to arm herself as they follow the trail.]

He was quick enough that I didn't have time to turn around.

[He's watching over his shoulder every so often, peering into dark halls.]

Hmf. Messy. Clearly not concerned with concealing the deed.

We've got some kind of large unhinged psychopath in our midst. Fantastic.

This works in our advantage. Such a creature is not apt to consider that he may be being hunted himself.
